What is the Food Record Diary?
The Food Record Diary is an additional support tool for anyone wanting to monitor their own personal food diaries and keep track of their Slimming plan. It is a personalised journal, food diary, work book, meal planner, organiser, shopping list, recipe guide book, food guide, personal directory, exercise log, progress record, weight loss monitor, helpful support, note book and record of achievements, all rolled into one. How will The Food Record Diary help me?
The Diary is divided into 5 easy to follow sections and contains around 120 pages. It fits neatly into your Slimming World members pack. The diary is designed to assist you in forming new healthy eating habits, plan and organise your daily meals and help you to form new routines that fit into your individual lifestyle. Its aim is to help you monitor and regulate your syn Ψ intake, quickly spot any irregularities or syn Ψ discrepancies and therefore speed up your weight-loss. You can refer back to your individual plans and food diaries whenever you need that extra boost or assistance. How will I know how to fill in the diary?
Each section of the diary has an easy to use guide and explanation.  You can also see examples of how to fill in the pages by visiting our Users Guide and Example Pages on our website. If you are having any problems, please contact one of our team on our Contact Us page

Where Can I purchase the food record diary?
You can only buy The Food Record Diary exclusively through SlimmersDiary.

Will I be able to buy the food record diary in my Slimming group meeting? No, The Food Record Diary is not a Slimming World product and therefore will not be available to buy anywhere other than through SlimmersDiary.

Is it a hardcover book?
No, We specifically created The Food Record Diary as a glossy paperback diary; this is to ensure that the retail price can remain low for you to purchase, and also so that it is light and easy for you to fill in and carry around in your Slimming packs.

Is The Food Record Diary available to buy as an e-book?
No, We specifically created a physical copy instead of an e-book, to ensure that the diary can travel with you everywhere and be easily shared amongst your group and with other members. By physically writing down what you have eaten and keeping your diary with you at all times, it keeps your slimming world plan at the forefront of your mind and can as much as double your weight loss success.

How much does The Food Record Diary cost?
The first edition of The Food Record Diary is RRP £6.95

How much is postage and packaging? The Food Record Diary is currently shipped out directly from the printers, and therefore they have their own postage and packaging costs which can vary; unfortunately we currently have no control over their P&P price structures.

What do I do once I have filled in my 12 week Food Record Diary?
Make sure you keep your old diary in a safe place to refer back to it when you need it. You can re-buy a new food record diary at any time; Look out for offers and promotions offering discounts off your second purchase.

Will The Food Record Diary work on any slimming plan?
The Food Record Diary has been designed by individuals following the Slimming World plan, therefore it would currently have no real relevance to anyone not following either a red, green or orange (extra easy)plan. This is due to the way that the diary is laid out internally. If you are unsure whether the diary would be of use to you, we suggest you view our Example Pages and Internal Content Pages before purchasing.

Do I have to fill in the diary every day?
The concept of the diary is to fill it in every day to help you form new routines and healthy eating habits. It will also help you to plan your weekly meals in the future, as you will be more aware of your eating habits and patterns. What happens if I don’t fill in my food diary one day?
No problem, the diary is designed to assist you and make your life easier; however we must be realistic and stay true to ourselves. If you miss a day, simply leave that day blank and start filling it in again from the next day – you will soon be back on track, and one day isn’t going to ruin your whole week.  It is important though not to try and avoid filling in your `worst` and `highest` syn Ψ days, as this will help you to spot any patterns in your daily and monthly eating plan and cycle. By avoiding filling in those days that you know you have gone off track, the only person you are cheating is yourself.

Do I have to fill in the diary every week?
The diary contains 12 weeks worth of food records. We recommend that you fill in your diary each week, until you feel that you don’t need its help anymore. The need and use of the diary can vary greatly from person to person. Some members rely on it to keep themselves motivated and in control, others like to use it for short periods when they are struggling or losing momentum – the choice is entirely yours. According to research published in the European journal of social psychology  it takes an average of 66 days to form a new habit; The diary covers 12 weeks food diaries (84 days).  This is to get you into a new routine and to assist you forming new healthy habits and routines for your future. However, several target members have stated that they filled in the diary throughout their whole slimming journey and will continue to do so, even after hitting target! They do this to ensure that they continue to maintain their target and stay in control of their current weight.

I’m a new member at Slimming World, will the diary help and work for me?
As a new member you will find the diary particularly beneficial. Your first 12 weeks of starting slimming are very important, as this is when you are most likely to see your greatest weight losses. The plan is fresh in your mind and you haven’t yet fallen into any traps of developing bad habits. Now is the best possible time for you to start forming Great new habits and healthy eating routines, and we also want to ensure that you never forget what you learnt in those first few months; therefore we would recommend that you try to fill in your diary every week for at least those first 12 weeks, you can then monitor them and refer back to them again in the future if you feel yourself slipping into bad habits. My Slimming Consultant said that she doesn’t like to promote the use of a food diary every day – why is this? I would recommend that you ask your consultant for a specific reason? It may be that they are worried you would get too reliant on the diary, each person is an individual and we wouldn’t want to second guess or advise against your consultant? However, medical research proves that writing and keeping a food diary can help you to form new habits and increase your weight loss, and everyone has the right to use what works best for them as an individual.

Where do I get a copy of your eating plan and diet?
SlimmersDiary do not have an eating plan or diet. We are here to offer an additional support tool and free website for those who wish to use it whilst following their Slimming plan. The Food Record Diary has been created by slimming world members that fly the flag for Slimming World, and that wanted to offer an additional support to other members and followers out there. Do you have example 7 day meal planner pages?
We have an example of how you can fill in your own food record diary meal planner pages (please see Example Pages), but we do not provide examples of weekly plans to follow. We are not dieticians and therefore it would be irresponsible of us to offer this kind of assistance, your health is of importance to us. If you need assistance and ideas of meal plans, we would advise that you contact and join your local Slimming World Group or visit www.slimmingworld.com this way you are guaranteed to receive all of their up to date information and guides of how to follow their slimming plans correctly.

Do I need to be a slimming world member to purchase your diary?
You do not have to be a Slimming World member to purchase The Food Record Diary, but unless you have followed the Slimming World plan previously or have an up to date copy of the Slimming World members pack, the diary will not serve any real purpose or advantage to you. We do appreciate that not everyone is in a position to join a Slimming World group, or may even be too scared to take that first step into group – if that sounds like you, we would suggest that you join Slimming World online www.slimmingworld.com or seek to buy the slimming world Food Directory first.

Is the Food Record Diary endorsed by Slimming World?

I have purchased The Food Record Diary, but do not understand the wording and headers? The Food Record Diary uses its own terminology i.e. Super Unlimited Foods, Unlimited Foods, Ψs/treats – this is due to trademark and copyright licensing laws. There is an explanation and terminology chart at the front of the diary to assist you.

Do Slimmers Diary offer any other products for sale?
